My wife was on a shopping spree in Norwich, so it was a perfect day to take my little boy for his first fishing session at Dents.
We got there nice and early, and managed to find a nice swim on the Willow lake.
My boy was using float techniques, and I had the carp rods out.
The carp rods were really quite for most of the day, but Jake was very busy catching plenty of Roach, Rudd and Perch.
Jake was showing me up for most of the day, with the amount of fish he was catching lol, but it was great to see him loving this sport and he was the quietest I have seen him!
Anyway, mid afternoon the carp rods I cast out earlier in the day sprung into action. It was like they were on a lunch break. I had a total of six carp including this lovely mirror, which were caught in quick succession after each other on manilla boilies.
We packed up late afternoon, and popped into McDonalds for some tea on the way home.
Overall it was a cracking day, and really looking forward to taking Jake back there, before the cold weather moves in.
