At last the river season is upon us again. I had planned to go on the first day, but due to car problems and starting a new job, was unable too.
I thought I would do my first visit of the season, out on the drains.
Arrived first thing and there was fish topping and rolling everywhere, so was it was looking to be a good day.
After baiting up and chucking out the feeder, I had a savage take. Struck into it, and there a beautiful bream graced the net. This continued for most of the day, including a few roach and skimmers, but no tench on this occasion.
Overall not as productive as it usually is, but not a bad start to the season. Hoping to get out again in the next couple of weeks.
