Had a spare evening, so I visited Block Fen B to have a go for the tench. This is a very hard, big fish water. Very popular with predator anglers in the winter and carp anglers in the summer. The session started started off quite, but as night fell the lake came alive and there was big carp and possibly pike splashing everywhere and on the feed, tench were also fizzing. It was an anglers dream. I fished with a feeder rod and pellet. Had one take on the feeder which I missed and a couple of liners. No fish on the bank, but a pleasure to be out there. Fenland at it’s best. Will have another go there, when it gets slightly warmer.
